You can disable (and enable) texting for any client right from your Texting Inbox. If you choose to disable texting, you and your staff will no longer be able to text this client. The client will not receive automated text messages, nor text messages sent via the Client Management Dashboard/Texting Inbox.
Disable Texting via the Texting Inbox
To disable texting for a client, follow the steps below:
- Navigate to your Inbox
- Click on the client from the list on the left that you would like to disable texting for
- Click the ellipsis (…) menu next to their name in their details on the right
- Choose Disable texting from the menu that appears
- Click Disable texting to confirm that they will be opted out of Automations and individual texts moving forward
Enable Texting via the Texting Inbox
If you’d like to enable texting for a client who has previously had texting disabled, you’ll simply follow the same steps:
- Navigate to your Inbox
- Click on the client from the list on the left that you would like to enable texting for
- Click the ellipsis (…) menu next to their name in their details on the right
- Choose Enable texting from the menu that appears
- Click Enable texting to confirm that they will be opted back in to receiving Automations and individual texts moving forward
You should only opt a client back in to receiving Automations and texts from your studio if they have given you permission.
📱 Note: Enabling texting for a client who has been disabled will not retroactively send Automations from the period of time that they were disabled.
Client’s ability to Disable/Enable Texting
Your client can also use certain keywords to opt themselves out of receiving Automations/Individual texts from your Studio, in addition to opting back in!
Opt-out keywords include: STOP, OPT OUT
Opt-in keywords include: START, OPT IN
