When someone who isn't in your system texts your studio's Loyalsnap number, Loyalsnap automatically creates a lead profile from that message — so a cold prospect who reaches out never slips through the cracks.
What Is an Inbound Text Lead
An inbound text lead is a new profile Loyalsnap creates when an unknown number — one not already tied to a client — texts your Loyalsnap number. Instead of dropping that message, Loyalsnap turns it into a lead you can see, reply to, and follow up with. It works for both SMS and WhatsApp inbound messages.
Where You'll See Them
- Your Inbox — a new text lead shows up as a conversation, marked with an Inbound text lead icon so you can tell it apart from an existing client.
- By phone number — because the person hasn't shared their name yet, the lead is labeled with their phone number until you learn more.
- Client search and a client profile — each lead gets its own profile, so you can find them and track the conversation like any other client.
Working a Text Lead
Treat a text lead like any other conversation — the faster you reply, the better your chances of converting them:
- Reply right from the Inbox.
- Add a note or set a follow-up from their profile so nothing gets forgotten.
- Add them to a client list for targeting and organization.
When a Lead Becomes a Client
A text lead becomes a full client automatically once they book a class or are added in your booking platform. At that point the Inbound text lead label goes away and their profile fills in with the details from your booking platform (name, email, and more). You don't have to convert them manually.
Troubleshooting / FAQs
Q: New people are texting us but I don't see them as leads.
A: The feature may not be enabled for your studio yet — contact your Loyalsnap rep. Also note leads are only created for numbers that aren't already tied to a client; if the number matches an existing client, the message goes to that client's conversation instead.
Q: The lead only shows a phone number — where's their name?
A: A text lead starts with just the phone number they texted from. Their name and other details fill in automatically once they book or are added in your booking platform.
Q: Someone texted us a few times — will I get duplicate leads?
A: No. Leads are matched by phone number, so repeat texts from the same number go to the same lead instead of creating duplicates.
Q: Does this work for WhatsApp too?
A: Yes. Inbound WhatsApp messages from unknown numbers also create text leads when the feature is enabled.
Q: Can I text a lead back?
A: Yes — reply to them directly in the Inbox, just like any other conversation.
