You can permanently remove a text a client sent you from a conversation. This article shows how, and what to keep in mind before you do.
What This Does
Deleting removes a single inbound message — one a client sent you — from the conversation and from the client's history in Loyalsnap. It's permanent.
What You Can Delete
- Only messages from the client (inbound) can be deleted.
- You can't delete messages your studio sent, or automation and blast messages — there's no delete option on those.
How to Delete a Message
- Open the conversation in your Inbox.
- Hover over the client's message. A small arrow (Message actions) appears next to the message bubble.
- Click it and choose Delete message.
- In the Delete message? window, click Delete to confirm — or Cancel to back out.
Troubleshooting / FAQs
Q: I don't see a delete option on a message.
A: You can only delete messages the client sent to you. Messages your studio sent — including automations and blasts — can't be deleted, so they don't show the option.
Q: Can I undo a delete?
A: No. Once you confirm, the message is permanently removed and can't be recovered.
Q: Does deleting remove the text from the client's phone too?
A: No. It only removes the message from Loyalsnap (the conversation and the client's history). The client still has the text on their own device.
Q: Can I delete a whole conversation?
A: No — deleting works one message at a time. To clear a conversation out of your Open view without removing anything, archive it instead. See Managing Your Inbox: Filters, Read Status, and Archiving.
