Conditions are how you decide exactly which clients receive an email blast, an SMS blast, or land in a dynamic list. This article explains what conditions are, how to add them, and gives you a full list of every condition you can use.
What Are Conditions?
A condition is a rule about a client — like "has an expiring package" or "hasn't visited in 30 days." When you build a blast or a dynamic list, you add one or more conditions, and Loyalsnap includes only the clients who match.
The same conditions work everywhere you choose an audience:
- Email blasts — a one-time email to everyone who matches.
- SMS blasts — a one-time text to everyone who matches.
- Dynamic lists — a list that updates on its own. As clients start or stop matching your conditions, they move in and out of the list automatically.
Because it's the same condition library across all three, an audience you understand for a blast works exactly the same way in a dynamic list.
The Full Condition Library
Every condition you can add, grouped by what it looks at. Most conditions let you set details like a time window, a package, or a comparison (equal to, more than, less than).
Who the client is, lists, and location
- Clients — Everyone in your Loyalsnap account.
- Static list — Clients who are on one or more static lists you've built. Choose whether they must be on any of the selected lists or all of them.
- Client status — Clients whose status in your booking platform matches the ones you pick. (Availability depends on your booking platform.)
- Home location — Clients whose home location is, or is not, your location. Useful for multi-location studios. (Availability depends on your booking platform.)
- Last visited location — Clients whose most recent visit was at a location you select.
- Lead — People who are external leads and haven't been entered into your booking system yet, who became a lead within a time window you set.
Visits and attendance
- Total visits — Clients whose lifetime attended visits are equal to, more than, or less than a number you set. Counts visits they actually showed up for. You can limit the count to visits on certain packages.
- Recent visit count — Clients who attended between a minimum and maximum number of times in a recent window (for example, 1 to 4 times in the last 30 days). You can choose to include upcoming booked visits.
- No visits after X time — Clients who haven't visited in at least a set number of days.
- No scheduled visits — Clients who have nothing booked on the calendar. You can limit this to specific classes.
- Next scheduled visit — Clients whose next booked visit is equal to, more than, or less than a set number of days away.
- Booked into a specific upcoming class — Clients booked into one of the specific upcoming class sessions you select.
- Days since first class — Clients whose first attended class was a set number of days ago (equal to, more than, or less than). Great for first-visit follow-ups and milestones.
- Last visit status — Clients whose most recent visit had a status you choose (such as signed in, no-show, or cancelled) within a time window.
- ClassPass — Clients whose most recent visit came through ClassPass. (Available only with Mindbody)
- No activity in X days — Clients with no visits and no purchases in a set number of days. Broader than "no visits" because it also considers purchases.
- No activity after purchase — Clients who went quiet — no visits or purchases — after buying a package you specify.
Packages and credits
- Current package — Clients whose current package is one you select. You can also target clients with no current package, or narrow by how long they've held it.
- Last package — Clients whose most recent package was one you select, optionally purchased within a time window.
- Expired package — Clients whose last package expired within a time window you set (for example, expired 7 to 14 days ago).
- Expiring package — Clients whose current package will expire within a time window you set. Ideal for renewal reminders.
- Available credits — Clients who have more than, less than, or exactly a number of credits remaining on a package type.
- On unlimited — Clients who are, or are not, on an unlimited package.
- On autopay — Clients whose autopay is on or off.
- Purchase — Clients who bought a package type you select, optionally within a time window. You can also target clients who have never purchased.
- No subsequent purchase — Clients who haven't bought anything since a specific package. Perfect for "bought the intro, never upgraded" follow-ups.
Contracts and memberships
- Contract status — Clients whose most recent contract status matches the ones you pick. You can choose to include clients with no contract.
- Contract time — Clients who are a set number of days into their active contract.
- Contract ending — Clients whose active contract ends within a time window you set. Built for renewal outreach — clients who already have a new contract lined up are left out.
- Contract expired — Clients whose last contract expired within a time window, optionally only those who haven't purchased since.
- No contract — Clients who are not on an active or scheduled contract.
Account age
- Account age — Clients whose account is a set number of days old (equal to, more than, or less than).
Birthdays
- Upcoming birthday — Clients whose birthday is coming up within a window you set (for example, in the next 1 to 7 days).
- Past birthday — Clients whose birthday was within a recent window you set.
Marketing and outreach
- Received blast — Clients who received one or more specific blasts you select.
- Recent engagement — Clients who did, or did not, engage with specific blasts over a recent window. You can narrow to actions like opens or clicks.
- Last contacted — Clients your team did, or did not, personally reach out to (call, text, or email) within a time window. This tracks manual outreach from your team, not automated blasts.
- Follow-ups — Clients who have a pending follow-up (a follow-up date has been set for them).
Troubleshooting / FAQs
Q: My audience is way bigger than I expected. Why?
A: Some conditions include people who aren't full members yet. Conditions like Clients, Lead, Static list, No contract, On autopay, Purchase, birthdays, and the marketing conditions can all pull in leads and contacts. If your count looks high, add a condition that narrows to active clients, or check whether one of your conditions is broader than you intended.
Q: I don't see a condition called "Tag." Where did it go?
A: It's there, but it's now called Static list. It works the same way: it targets clients who are on the static lists you've built.
Q: I built a dynamic list, but the number of clients keeps changing. Is that a bug?
A: No — that's how dynamic lists are meant to work. They update on their own as clients start or stop matching your conditions. A one-time blast, by contrast, sends to whoever matches at the moment you send it.
Q: I added two conditions and my audience got smaller. Shouldn't it get bigger?
A: When you add conditions, a client has to match all of them to be included, so each condition you add narrows the audience rather than widening it.
Q: A condition I read about isn't in my list. Why?
A: A few conditions (like Client status and Home location) depend on data your booking platform sends to Loyalsnap, so they only appear for supported platforms.
