The Client History is where you'll find all the important activity a client has taken at your studio. On the client details page, open the Client History tab to see it.
At the top of the tab, you'll also see an AI-written summary of the client's recent activity and a recommended next step — learn more in How to Use the AI Client History Summary.
The Client History shows the following types of activity:
- Creation date: when the client's account was created in your booking platform. If you're connected to an external lead source like Facebook or Google Sheets, you'll also see when they became a lead.
- Emails & texts: every logged email and text sent to the client, including direct messages, automations, and blasts.
- Calls: calls your team logs from the client's profile, along with any notes.
- Purchases: the date of each purchase. If a package doesn't start until a future date, the log shows when it becomes active.
- Visits: the date and time of each visit, with its status (such as scheduled or no-show). If there's no status, the client was signed in.
- Contracts: the client's past and current contracts and their start dates.
- Follow-up tasks: follow-ups created, completed, or updated for the client.
- Scheduled texts: texts you've scheduled to send to the client later.
- Other: notes added to the client, when they were removed from or restored to a dashboard category, and when a lead or form submission became a client.
Entries are grouped by date, with the most recent at the top. Each entry shows an icon for the activity type on the left, the details in the middle, and who did it and the time on the right.
Some clients have a long history to scroll through. To focus on just what you need, click the filter next to the Client History tab to open the filter menu.
Check or uncheck the boxes to choose exactly what you want to see, or choose All to show everything. You can filter by Emails / Texts, Calls, Purchases, Visits, Contracts, Follow-up tasks, Schedule Send SMS, and Other.
Email Details
Email activity shows who sent the email (a staff member or an automation), the subject line, the date and time it was sent, and whether it was opened.
Automated emails sent in the past 30 days have an eye icon next to them. Click it to view the contents of the email that was sent.
Text Details
Not every text is the same. A text sent as part of an SMS blast is labeled with a green SMS Blast tag and shown as sent by Loyalsnap, since it went out to a group. An individual text shows the name of the staff member (or the automation) who sent it. The two are handled a little differently — for example, you can filter your inbox by replies to a specific SMS blast, which you can't do with one-off texts.
To read the whole message, click the ellipsis (...) to expand the full contents of the text.
Other Activity
Other activity includes follow-ups set for the client, category changes, purchases, visits, and contract details — so you can get to know exactly what a client has done, both recently and in the past, all from the Client History.
Check a client's history before reaching out from the dashboard. It gives you the context to personalize the message you send.
Troubleshooting / FAQs
Q: I don't see all of a client's activity. Why?
A: Check the filter next to the Client History tab. If some activity types are unchecked, they're hidden — choose All to show everything.
Q: Can I read the full content of a message?
A: For texts, click the ellipsis (…) to expand the full message. For automated emails sent in the past 30 days, click the eye icon to view what was sent.
Q: A visit has no status — what does that mean?
A: No status means the client was signed in (attended). Statuses like scheduled or no-show only appear when they apply.
Q: What's the difference between a text and an SMS Blast in the history?
A: An SMS Blast is a group send — it's marked with a green SMS Blast tag and shown as sent by Loyalsnap. An individual text shows the staff member or automation that sent it.
Q: Why is some activity attributed to Loyalsnap instead of a person?
A: Automated messages (from automations and blasts) are sent by the system, so they show Loyalsnap as the sender. Messages a team member sends show that person's name.
