This article explains how to set a custom date range in your Reporting Overview so you can analyze any time window, not just the presets.
What Changed?
Your Reporting Overview has always had preset date ranges — last 14 days, last 30 days, this month, and so on. Now you can also pick any custom start and end date using a calendar picker.
This is useful any time you need to analyze a specific window: a promo period, a staffing change, a month that doesn't line up with the preset options, or a date range you want to compare year-over-year.
How to Set a Custom Date Range
- Go to Reporting in your Loyalsnap dashboard.
- Open the Reporting Overview.
- Click the date range dropdown at the top of the page.
- Select Select from calendar… at the bottom of the dropdown list.
- A two-month calendar view will open. Click your start date, then click your end date — the range will highlight between them.
- Click Apply (or confirm your selection) to update the report.
Preset ranges (14 days, 30 days, this month) are still available and unchanged — you're adding a custom option, not replacing the presets.
Troubleshooting / FAQs
Q: I selected a custom date range but the metrics didn't update.
A: Make sure you clicked Apply after selecting your dates. The calendar doesn't auto-close on selection. If you closed the picker without confirming, the previous range is still active.
Q: The custom range option isn't showing in my dropdown.
A: Try a full page refresh. If it still doesn't appear, contact support@loyalsnap.com. It may need to be enabled on your account.
Q: Can I drill into a custom date range from a chart or tile?
A: Yes. Clicking into a chart or metric tile with a custom range active will carry that range into the detail view.
